Targets of Straw Hats and allied forces: Kaido
In order to defeat Kaido, one of the four emperors of the sea, the Straw Hat Pirates have gathered allies in the New World. Right after Straw Hats reached the New World, their adventures brought them into clashing with few underlings of Kaido and resulted to gaining support groups.
In Punk Hazard, the pirate group clashed with mad scientist Caesar Clown who governed the island of fire and ice. The pirate group defeated him and stopped his role of manufacturing weapons of mass destruction to Kaido.
Before the battle against Caesar, Shichibukai Trafalgar D. Water Law, captain of Heart Pirates, made an alliance with Monkey D. Luffy, the captain of Straw Hat Pirates, and planned to take down Kaido.
Aside from Kaido, the pirate alliance also planned to defeat another Shichibukai Donquixote Doflamingo, the fake king of Dressrosa, who not only worked under the sea emperor but also did something bad to Law when he was young that he wanted to get revenge.
During the battle, Caesar was revealed to be working under Doflamingo, and both are known personalities in the underground business.
After the battle, the pirates allowed Kinemon and Momonusuke of the Wano Country, who both held captive by Caesar, to stay on their ship while on their way to Dressrosa.
In the country of love and passion Dressrosa, the pirate alliance defeated Doflamingo and stopped him from supplying artificial devil fruits to Kaido. After Doflamingo's fall, the group of pirates and fighters Luffy met at the Corrida Colosseum offered their support to his pirate group as payment for saving them.
Luffy (unwillingly) exchanged saké cups with seven representatives of strong fighters groups as a ceremonial form of pledging loyalty. Dubbed as "Straw Hat Grand Fleet," the seven leaders are:
1. Cavendish of the White Hose, captain of the Beautiful Pirates
2. Bartolomeo the Cannibal, captain of the Barto Club

Aside from these seven leaders, another samurai, Kanjuro, joined the Straw Hats in their journey to Zou, where Law's crew stayed and to continue search for the third samurai, Raizo.
In Zou, after the Straw Hat Pirates found Raizo, who was introduced as a ninja, they formally made an alliance with Momonusuke, Kinemon, Kanjuro and the new character. They also made an alliance with the leaders of the Mink Tribe: Inuarashi and Nekomamushi.
The alliance was formed to defeat Kaido, who together with the shogun of the Wano Country killed Oden, the daimyo or feudal lord, the father of Momonusuke, and the boss of the samurais. Oden was said to be among those who witnessed the landing of Roger Pirates in the legendary island Raftel.
In the recent chapters, the main antagonist of Zou arc, an underling of the sea emperor, Jack the Drought, tried to kill Zunisha, but the large elephant who carried the island of Zou for a millennium defeated him using its trunk, following an order from Momonusuke.
